But Buzz' star also shines behind the scenes as a technical consultant and space expert, mostly recently for HBO's production of From the Earth to the Moon, and currently for an upcoming Paramount Pictures feature film still in development.

He has also lent his name and persona to promote animated and comedic films such as Disney's Toy Story and Toy Story 2, as well as the Australian film production of The Dish, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.

Perhaps some of Aldrin's greatest contributions to the media are the insights he shares with major news networks on current developments in space. He has been a featured commentator for Fox News Channel, CNN, and the BBC.
